The paper introduced the design of hardware and software of a kind of on-line monitoring device) for disk brake shoe-clearance of hoister and its working principle. The device took S7-300 PLC as main monitoring machine and used correlative sensors to check the parameters of brake shoe-clearance and oil pressures, and realized the functions of real-time monitoring, alarming and cutting off.
