Abstract: The paper analyzed main causes of longitudinal tearing accident of belt conveyor of coal mine, namely belt could be teared by anchor pole, puncheon, waste rock or roller, and proposed some preventing methods for longitudinal tearing of belt conveyor including strengthening routing inspection, using belt with pre-tearing net as far as possible, and setting protecting sensors of pre longitudinal tearing. The paper can provide certain guidance to prevent longitudinal tearing accident of belt conveyor of coal mine.
