Application of frequency-conversion technology in long-distance transportation of belt conveyor

  • In view of problems of low efficiency, big impact of start-up current and mechanical shock, being unable to balance power because of using power frequency and fluid coupling to drive belt conveyor control system in a Coal Mine, a reform scheme adopted frequency-conversion control technology was proposed. The scheme uses soft start function of frequency converter to integrate soft-start of motor and belt conveyors, adopts slow start of motor to drive conveyors start, so make conveyors have smooth start, big torque, no inrush current under heavy load starting. The practical application validates effectiveness of the scheme.
