  • A design scheme of wireless strain sensor with low power consumption was proposed, which takes MSP430F149 as main controller, nRF24L01 as wireless transmission chip and AD627 as preamplifier. Whole structure of the sensor was given and design methods of software and hardware of data acquisition and sending subsystem of the sensor were introduced in details. Power consumption of the sensor was analyzed and tested and the formula of power consumption was gotten. The calculated average current consumption of the sensor is 32 μA, which is lower than consumption of existing wireless strain sensors. The testing result is the same as the theoretical analysis result, and life-span of the battery is over 70 h.
