Research of Fully Mechanized Mining Technology of Ultra-thin Coal Seam and Its Applicatio

  • The paper introduced existing status of domestic mining technology of ultra-thin coal seam and pointed out that existing fully mechanized mining equipments are not suitable for mining ultra-thin coal seam. It introduced structure and performance of new types of shearer, hydraulic pressure support and scraper conveyor for fully mechanized mining of ultra-thin coal seam and proposed fully mechanized mining technique of ultra-thin coal seam. The application showed that the new fully mechanized mining equipments and technique of ultra-thin coal seam can improve mining efficiency with huge economical benefit. But there are some problems for further research including ranging-drum technology of in-web shearer, how to reduce workload for end notching, automation technology of working face with ultra-thin coal seam, etc.
