  • In order to realize remote monitoring and control for transmission process of belt conveyor, the paper proposed a design scheme of remote monitoring and control system of belt conveyor. The system sets a control substation at head of underground belt conveyor and sets intelligent devices along belt conveyor according to numbers of measured points and lengths of belt conveyor. The control substation communicates with intelligent devices through CAN bus and the both compose monitoring and control system of single belt conveyor; the control substation transmits monitored data to surface monitoring computer through RS485 bus and ModBus protocol, so as to realize function of remote monitoring and control. The actual application showed that the system has good operation effect and improves operation performance and automation level of belt conveyor.
