Design and Simulation of Temperature Controller for Calcining Zone of Rotary Kil

  • Aiming at the problems that traditional PID temperature control system for calcing zone of(rotary) kiln had poor temperature stability and couldn’t adjust PID parameters on-line,the paper proposed a scheme of temperature controller for calcining zone of rotary kiln using fuzzy self-tuning PID parameters control mode.It introduced structure,design steps of the controller and system modeling of rotary kiln’s calcining process,and gave simulation of the fuzzy self-tuning PID temperature controller using Simulink fuzzy toolbox in Matlab.The simulation(result) showed that the control mode had no overshoot and short adjusting time and could realize on-line self-adjustment of parameters.The actual application also proved superiority of the control method.
