Application research of low-frequency wake-up technology in personnel positioning system

  • In view of problem of short service time and great maintenance workload of identification card battery used in current personnel positioning system, the paper proposed to apply low-frequency wake-up technology to reduce battery operating time, thereby extend battery life, namely set dormant state for identification card when the miners are outside of the mine, and use low-frequency signal receiver to wake up the identification card when the miners go down the mine. The test results show that the use of low-frequency wake-up technology can greatly improve battery life of identification card, when the signal transmission period is 1-3 s, the battery life is extended to more than 2.7 times of the original, and the improving effect is better as the transmission period becomes shorter.
