基于Intel IXP425的嵌入式VoIP终端的设计

Design of Embedded VoIP Terminal Based on Intel IXP425

  • 摘要: 利用嵌入式芯片开发VoIP设备,不但可以有效降低VoIP应用设备的生产成本和维护成本,而且可以推广VoIP的应用,使得其接入网络更加灵活方便。文章介绍了VoIP的基本原理,阐述了以IntelIXP425为核心的VoIP终端的硬件组成及软件设计,给出了将嵌入式Linux系统移植到该VoIP终端所需要完成的工作,最后对基于Intel IXP425的嵌入式VoIP终端的性能进行了测试。测试结果表明,该终端可提供完善的功能、友好直观的操作界面、较好的语音质量和较低的功耗,同时也具有高度的灵活性、可扩展性。

     

    Abstract: Using embedded chip to develop VoIP device not only can reduce production cost of VoIP application device and its maintenance cost effectively,but also can promote application of VoIP,which makes it access network more flexibly and conveniently.The paper introduced the basic principle of VoIP,expounded hardware composition and software design of the VoIP terminal taking Intel IXP425 as core,gave the work how to transplant embedded Linux system to the VoIP terminal,finally it tested the performance of the embedded VoIP terminal based on Intel IXP425.The test result showed that the terminal can provide perfect function,friendly and direct operation interface,better voice quality and lower power consumption,and has high feasibility and expansibility.
