Abstract: On the bases of analysing of the working principle of inclinometer and research of the motion of the working unit of hydraulic excavator, this article presented a way of how to measure the gesture and position of hydraulic excavator’s working unit using the dual-axis inclinometer, which provide the precondition to realize the intelligence of hydraulic excavator.
