Abstract: In view of the problems that underground information equipments are self-governed and difficult in maintenance, a kind of multifunction portable terminal based on WiFi was designed.The multifunction portable terminal used WiFi module to realize connecting with wireless local network,its hardware circuit used ARM embedded microprocessor as core,and its application software used embedded Linux as platform. It could perform functions of VoIP, positioning for personnel and monitoring for environment.
