Low-speed Sensorless Control Technology of PMSM Based on Dual PWM Regulators

  • In order to improve the poor performance of sensorless control of PMSM using extended Kalman filter at low speed,the paper proposed a novel low-speed sensorless control technology of PMSM based on dual PWM regulators. The technology takes DC part before the inverter into the adjustment range and realizes demand-based regulation of DC bus voltage according to given speed and torque. At the same level of output voltage,the case of using dual PWM regulators and the one of using fixed DC bus voltage were simulated in Matlab/Simulink,and the simulation result was verified by DSPACE 1103 system. The experimental results showed that extended Kalman filter system can get good control performance at low speed by use of dual PWM regulators.
