Research of Mine-used Fire Detection System by Use of Fiber Bragg Grating

  • Fiber Bragg grating(FBG) fire detector was packaged by use of a special alloy material.Related temperature sensing experiment showed that temperature sensitivity of the fire detector is(1.755 times) than bare grating,and temperature sensitization was achieved.A mine-used fire detection system with FBG was designed by use of the fire detector and FBG wavelength demodulation device,data transmission and control bus,data control center,etc.The system uses the FBG wavelength demodulation device to demodulate wavelength of light signal which is reflected by field detecting FBG and measure the changing rate of the wavelength,then,firing or not could be known through the changing rate of the wavelength.The experiment showed that the system has high accuracy of fire detection and can shorten warning time.
