Research of dead-time compensation strategy for three-level inverter

摘要: 分析了二极管箝位型三电平逆变器死区效应及其电路工作原理,提出了一种适用于基于双层载波调制的二极管箝位型三电平逆变器的死区补偿方法。该方法通过在不同的电流流通路径合理调整触发脉冲的死区时间,实现了电平转换不受死区时间的影响,即避免或者减小了死区效应。仿真结果表明,与普通的死区补偿方法相比,该方法降低了5次、7次谐波含量和总谐波畸变率,提高了电流有效值,具有更好的补偿效果。

Abstract: The paper analyzed dead-time effect and working principle of diode-clamped three-level inverter, proposed a dead-time compensation method which is suitable for diode-clamped three-level inverter based on double carrier modulation. By adjusting dead-time of trigger pulse on different current flow paths, the method realizes level conversion unaffected by dead-time, which means avoiding or reducing dead-time effect. The simulation result shows that the method reduces the 5th and 7th harmonic contents and total harmonic distortion, increases effective current value and has better compensation effect compared with normal dead-time compensation method.
